Hello, my name is Penny.
I'm a Product Designer at VMware, specializing in storage and data protection solutions. Previously, I designed at CitiBank focusing on personalized banking experience, and at a startup launching a cashback-donation app. I also interned at Google, where I developed a new feature for enhancing group connections in Google Duo.
My design strength lies in creating within constraints and utilizing diverse research methods to facilitate design decisions. I thrive on building products that bridge people, information, and technology, I believe design should amplify our ability to be human.

Me conquering fear with a brave grip: Holding the Red Rock Crab I just caught.
Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, I grew up surrounded by mountains and rivers. My Chinese name Pei-Ni Chiang (江佩霓), pronounced as /pèi ní jiāng/, symbolizes a river adorned with a rainbow 🌈 .
My journey into design began with a bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, where I first delved into user experience. Seeking to deepen my expertise, I pursued graduate studies in Human-Computer Interaction Design in the US. Following five years of academic and professional endeavors there, I embraced a new chapter in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
I enjoy traveling, immersing myself in nature, and indulging in reading or watching movies on my cozy sofa with my large ginger cat 🐈 .
